It reads fast and probably should go under eco-horror so it could give some kids some nightmares. I'm classifying this one as younger grade reading. Then she realizes she has a weird rash growing on the hand that touched the mud. Tamaya helps out Marshall by grabbing up a handful of the mud and splattering Chad in the face. Then they get surprise attacked by mean boy Chad. It seems kinda fuzzy and fallen leaves even avoid it. Then sees some mud that doesn't look quite right. Once in the woods she realizes that they are probably lost. Tamaya knows something is wrong but she does not want to chance getting in trouble so she follows Marshall off into the woods. Chad says he is going to beat up Marshall that afternoon so Marshall wants to take a "short cut" home to avoid him. Then Marshall is targeted by the new kid Chad who happens to be a bit of a bully. Marshall is the friend that she walks home with from school with everyday because her mom doesn't want her walking home by herself. She does as her teacher's and single mom asks, tries to be what adults want her to be. She was the inspiration behind the counselor in There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom. When he first met her, she was a counselor at an elementary school.

Then his books started selling well enough so that he was able to quit practicing law. For the next eight years he worked part-time as a lawyer and continued to try to write children's books. His first book was published while he was in law school. He attended Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. Almost a year later, he was fired from the job. He was working at a sweater warehouse during the day and wrote at night. The next year, he wrote his first book, Sideways Stories from Wayside School. He went to college at the University of California at Berkeley and graduated in 1976, as an economics major. When he was nine, he moved to Tustin, California. Louis was born in East Meadow, New York, in 1954. Louis Sachar (pronounced Sacker), born March 20, 1954, is an American author of children's books.
